In case you’re running out of ideas for what to get Sydney for Christmas, I have to tell you about the “Plastic Fantastic, She’s More than a Doll!! Welcome to the World of Barbie” fancy bright pink catalogue that was sent to me. I don’t know how I got on their mailing list…but my guess is that Sydney got a hold of her Mom’s iPhone and let them know where JB and I live.

Nothing surprises me about that little smarty pants when it comes to the iPhone. Not long ago she grabbed my iPhone out of my hand saying: “It’s mine”…which it isn’t because it’s MINE. Now that I’m thinking about it, perhaps I should get Syd to pay my phone bill since she still thinks the phone is hers. Meanwhile, in the blink of an eye she’d programmed her Daddy’s ring tone to make that “boy-yong-boy-yong” kind of crazy sound when Jimmy calls me. When it happened I didn’t KNOW that she’d DONE it, and I still don’t know HOW she did it. One day Jimmy phoned me and all I could hear was “boy-yong-boy-yong” coming from my purse. Boy was I surprised. At least I never have to guess who’s on the phone when he’s trying to reach me. What Syd did is pretty incredible for someone who won’t be 3 until February! Neither JB nor I could figure out how to do this and we’re well over the age of 3!

Back to the Barbie Dream “Jet Set to the House of Barbie” gift for Syd. She could “be a globetrotting goddess and star in her own luxury adventure journey to the exciting world of Barbie Shanghai” if you’re willing to shell out a mere $30,000. For that, according to the brochure, you get “3 decadent days of Barbie fun, 2 business class roundtrip tickets & 4 nights at a 5 star hotel.” I haven’t told Syd anything about this trip because we’d all be hearing about it for days.

Sydney continues to impress us with her ability to put related concepts together. Here’s a perfect example: Some of you already know this cute story about Sydney and Barbie because Skyler recently wrote about it when she was sending out her ‘Daily Pic.’ I think it bears repeating for those of you who haven’t heard it. Syd and her Daddy were at Whole Foods when Jimmy asked his little girl if she wanted any BarBQ….to which Syd innocently replied: “Is that what Barbie eats?”

Love, D2
